These tasty and nutritious beans infuse with flavor as they cook. This dish is a classic and pairs well with so many meals or make a day in advance and fry them up in a bit of butter for breakfast.

Gluten Free. Vegan. Serves 4.

INSTANT POT: Disregard first step on package. Combine beans, spice mix and water in the Instant Pot, seal the lid, use bean setting for 30 minutes.

CROCK-POT: Soak beans as per directions overnight, place drained beans and all additional ingredients in the crock-pot, cover with lid and cook on HIGH for 4 hours.

NOTE: These beans are slightly drier and there is not meant to be a lot of liquid leftover.
